William J. Mitchell, II (Bill) was born in Lafayette, LA on May 29, 1957. His family settled in Covington, LA after residing in Alabama for 12 years. Those were tough years for a true LSU fan like Bill. He graduated from Saint Paul’s in Covington in 1975 and earned his undergraduate degree at LSU in 1979. He graduated from the LSU Law Center in 1985 and he has been licensed to practice law in Louisiana since October of that year. He is admitted to practice in all State District Courts and all three United States District Courts in Louisiana. His experience includes handling all manner of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accident, slip-and-fall accident, products liability, medical malpractice and premises liability litigation. He has tried over 50 jury and Judge trials in many different jurisdictions in Louisiana. Bill has also handled countless mediations during 28 years of practice.
Bill is married to Lisa Mitchell (nee Jetty) and they have three children, John (24), Maggie (20) and Adam (18). Lisa is a teacher’s assistant at Trinity Episcopal in Baton Rouge. Bill and Lisa were married at Christ the King Chapel on the LSU campus on October 17, 1986. Bill is a big fan of LSU sports, especially football and baseball. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and boating. Bill enjoys travelling, and he and Lisa plan to travel as much as possible during their golden years.
